Switzerland Tourism’s first-ever Virtual Switzerland Travel Experience 2021 welcomed more than 150 advisors from Australia and New Zealand across the two-day event on 18 & 19 August.

The 2021 STE agenda can be found here.

Apart from receiving useful updates on Switzerland’s endless travel experiences via six dedicated workshops and pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with the country’s 15+ key tourism providers, attendees were also treated to live interactive entertainment by SongDivision, which encouraged creativity and networking.

A major highlight at STE2021 was the panel discussion on sustainability. Hosted by Switzerland Tourism’s Executive VP, Urs Eberhard, the panel discussed the meaning of Swisstainable, where striking the balance to meet the needs of visitors, locals and the environment meant delivering enriching and empowering experiences.

Attendees were also reminded of the wide range of sustainable activities on offer including the E-Grand Tour of Switzerland, the country’s 500km² of unspoiled parklands, human-powered Swiss mobility experiences (e.g. cycling, hiking and swimming), as well as the expansive Swiss Travel System network.

Participating tourism providers included SWISS International Air Lines | Zurich | Lucerne | Titlis Cableways | the Swiss Museum of Transport | Lake Lucerne Navigation | Jungfrau Region | Jungfrau Railways | Schilthorn Cableways | Zermatt Cableways | the Matterhorn Railway | Interlaken | the Swiss Travel System.
