Mandarin Oriental Palace, Lucerne announces 24 September 2022 opening.

Following a meticulous renovation, Lucerne’s iconic Belle Époque landmark will re-open as Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern on 24 September 2022. Opening of the Capsule Hotel Alpine Garden.
Having just opened in February 2022, the Capsule Hotel Alpine Garden at Zurich Airport boasts 144 sleeping capsules filled with cosy Alpine flair, a wellness area, co-working spaces and a shop, all a stone’s throw from check-in. Whether they’re departing or arriving, travellers can now take a time-out at the airport amid the unspoilt natural world of the Swiss Alps, thanks to the stunning photography of influencer Fabio Zingg.

The Woodward

After the extensive redesign, the first all-suite hotel in Geneva and the first hotel of the Oetker Collection in Switzerland has opened on September 8, 2021. With only 26 suites, the new hotel of the Oetker Collection is located on Quai Wilson directly on Lake Geneva. The building from 1901 was extensively rebuilt and redesigned by the well-known interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon. The offer includes the two-star restaurants L’Atelier Robuchon and Le Jardinier as well as a spacious spa area.

Sorell Hotel St. Peter, Zurich 

The Sorell Hotel St. Peter opens in the centre of Zurich in mid-June 2020. The boutique hotel is aimed at both short-term stays and long-term guests. In addition to the warm and individual service, the newcomer to the Sorell Group captivates with its location in the heart of Zurich. According to the Swiss hotel group, the hotel places great value on stylish cosiness outside of the individual rooms. The aim is to create a place of encounter.

Sily by Talent hostel, Basel

Embedded in the extraordinary architecture of the former grain silo from 1912 in the trendy urban quarter of Erlenmatt at the Badischer Bahnhof, guests sleep in the new Sily by Talent hostel in the former grain and cocoa stores. There are 10 double and 10 multi-bed rooms on offer. The rooms are functionally equipped and have their own or shared bathrooms. The hostel opens in May 2020.

Hotel Josef, Zurich 

The Hotel Josef is located directly at Zurich Central Station and will open on the 21 November 2019. A boutique hotel with a roof terrace in a central location in a young and dynamic neighbourhood. The design comes from the interior designer Virginia Maissen, who is well known beyond the country’s borders as she has already realised other well-known hotel projects, such as the conversion of the Hotel Walther in Pontresina.

Revier Hotel, Adelboden

The new Revier Hotel is currently under construction in Adelboden and will open in early summer 2020 with 86 rooms and a total of 188 beds. Revier Hotels is a young and dynamic hotel brand. The hotel focuses on the essentials and on offering affordable rooms. They dispense of the unimportant things such as a room telephone, room service, minibar and the reception. Instead, the guest decides which extras and services should be added to their stay.

Hyatt Regency, Zurich Airport (The Circle)

The Hyatt Regency at Zurich airport opens in November 2020. It is situated within THE CIRCLE, a city-like complex featuring a convention centre, event space, gastronomy and green spaces. The inviting lobby with its bar, market and restaurant is a prime meeting point, linking directly to the Convention Centre. The Convention Hall can accommodate up to 1,500 people.

Villars Mountain Lodge

A new hotel completes the range of hotels on offer in Villars, in the Lake Geneva Region. The Villars Mountain Lodge has reopened following some major renovations. Formerly known as Hôtel Bellevue and dating back to 1870, this new, modern establishment welcomes solo travellers, families and groups with 55 rooms and 142 beds available to guests. The ethos of the hotel is to offer guests a combination of simplicity, comfort, design and tranquillity.

Hotel Walhalla, St. Gallen

Hotel Elite, Zermatt

The new renovated Hotel Elite will open in December 2019. The 3* hotel celebrates its reopening after an extensive renovation of the rooms, the dining room, the wellness area and the garden terrace. All five floors were named after a stop on the Gornergrat railways because the founder of the hotel worked for the Gornergrat railways.

Meiringen offers endless clues for those who are following the trails of Sherlock Holmes. The new SWISSPEAK Resorts is no exception, located in the centre of the village, right next to the museum dedicated to the famous investigator. The 79 modern, high quality, 2 to 4 room apartments for up to 8 people boast magnificent views of the surrounding mountains.
