The Adventure Destination

The Saas-Fee/Saastal holiday region is the perfect place for those who love personal challenges. This high-alpine holiday region in the canton of Valais is nestled in the highest mountains in Switzerland. The four villages of Saas-Almagell, Saas-Balen, Saas-Grund and Saas-Fee are surrounded by 18 four-thousand-metre peaks and a unique mountain and glacier landscape.

Saas-Fee, at an altitude of 1800 metres at the foot of Switzerland’s highest mountain, has a romantic village atmosphere. The village has always been car-free, ensuring tranquillity and fresh, clear mountain air.

Whether you want to conquer 1,800 metres of altitude in a single run or enjoy a coffee in the world’s highest revolving restaurant, Saas-Fee/Saastal guarantees fun on the slopes. The snow-assured blue, red, black and yellow pistes are between 3,600 and 1,500 metres above sea level and offer 150 kilometres of skiing, set against an impressive backdrop of 18 four-thousand-metre peaks.

But there is plenty to do off the slopes too. Whether it’s a sunset snowshoe hike through the breathtaking winter scenery, a tour of the pristine Fee Glacier or crossing the Gorge Alpine, there’s plenty of adventure to be had.

After an action-packed day outdoors, the Saas Valley offers an atmospheric après-ski experience and an impressive selection of restaurants ranging from traditional Valais specialities to gourmet cuisine. Here you can indulge in culinary delights and Alpine hospitality.
