Swiss Travel System Excellence E-Learning
The learning platform for all things around the Swiss Travel System: with the new Swiss Travel System Excellence E-Learning, it is child’s play to bring one’s know-how up to date. Heidi and Peter accompany the participants through the various modules and share everything there is to know about the Swiss Travel System. Those who pass the exam after completing the courses can even be certified as Swiss Travel System Excellence Expert.
Switzerland Travel Academy
1. Effective May 2, 2022, the Swiss government discontinued its high-risk countries list, meaning that:
- Entry into Switzerland from all countries in the world is possible again as before the pandemic.
- No COVID related entry regulations (e.g. No vaccination, No Passenger Locator Form, No pre-arrival testing) will be enforced by the Swiss government.
- No COVID related measures within Switzerland (e.g. No mask mandate, No Swiss COVID certificate).
- Wearing of masks in public transportation and crowded places is not mandatory but recommended.
- Important: Before traveling, please also refer to your local government for the current travel guidelines that are in place.
2. COVID-19 testing sites in Switzerland

2.1 Checkport Test Center at Zurich Airport
- Antigen and PCR tests
- Price Antigen test: CHF 80.- / USD 86.60 / CAD 107
- Price: CHF 195.- / USD 218.50 / CAD 262
- Payment by Credit Card only.
- For persons with no covid-19 symptoms only.
- An identity Card or Passport is required for the registration.
- After the registration, a test kit is handed out and one will do the test in privacy.
- Test result is available within 5 hours after courier’s departure, if tested before 5 pm.
- No reservation required / walk-in.
- Checkport also provides a Helpline where visitors can call to get information on documents required for international travel to/from Switzerland.

2.2 Corona testing room for transit passengers at Zurich Airport, next door to transit hotel
- PCR tests
- Price: CHF 195.- / USD 218.50 / CAD 262
- For persons with no covid-19 symptoms only.
- Test result is available within about 5 hours after courier’s departure, if tested before 5 pm.
- No reservation required / walk-in.

2.3 COVID Test Center at the Basel-Mulhouse Airport
- Antigen and PCR tests
- Price Antigen test: CHF 45.- / USD 48.50 / CAD 60
- Price PCR test: CHF 110.- / USD 118.50 / CAD 148
- Payment can be made in cash or by credit card.
- Antigen test result is available within 15 minutes incl. confirmation.
- PCR test result is available before midnight, including laboratory confirmation when made before 11:15 am on the same day.
- For persons with no covid-19 symptoms only.
- Reservation are not necessary, but recommended. Reserve a slot for an appointment here.

2.4 Hirslanden Private Hospital Group
- Hirslanden is the largest private hospital group in Switzerland.
- PCR and antigen tests are available at several of the hospitals throughout Switzerland.
- Appointments can be booked on the website of Switzerland Tourism: com/covid-test
- The costs have to be paid directly on the spot, costs vary from CHF 140 to CHF 160 / USD 156 to USD 178 / CAD 188 to CAD 215
- PCR test results are available within 24 hours.
- Antigen test results are available within 15 minutes.
2.5 Genolier Patient Services test at your apartment or hotel
- Genolier Patient Serices offers a type of VIP service where the Covid-19 test will be done at the accommodation of the guest (hotel / chalet etc.).
- Genolier Patient Services does not test people younger than 16 years old.
- Tests can be done 7/7.
- Results are available within 24 hours.
- Costs start from CHF 400 / USD 446 / CAD 538 per person (staff of laboratory comes to the apartment or hotel).
- Tests are also possible for groups staying at a hotel or rental home. There is no maximum group size.
- Important: inform Genolier Patient Services with early notice about the group size.
- Depending on the size of the group and the location of the apartment/hotel in Switzerland the cost of the test may vary.
