Update on Swiss Travel System.

Please find here the latest updates regarding restrictions due to the coronavirus.

From June 8, 2020, touristic lines such as premium panoramic trains, mountain railways and boats will resume operations. This means the return to largely regular service. Services such as on-board catering, group reservations and luggage transport will also be possible again. These offers and services are under the protection concept for public transport which remains in effect until further notice. *Last update: May 28, 2020


New “Clean & Safe” label.

Switzerland is in a transitional phase – from lockdown to gradual relaxation of its rules. The need for information on safety and cleanliness remains high. To strengthen the confidence of guests in Switzerland as a safe and clean travel destination, the tourism industry associations have created a “Clean & Safe” label. This campaign was initiated by Switzerland Tourism (ST) as part of its “Recovery Plan” for tourism in Switzerland. When visiting tourism establishments/infrastructures, the label shows guests that the latter have made a conscious commitment to comply with protection plans. Read more here.
