Saas-Fee/Saastal is the ultimate adventure destination, where families and sports enthusiasts can revel in an exceptional Alpine setting, surrounded by Switzerland’s highest 4,000 m peaks. Perched at 1,800 m, the village itself also boasts the world’s highest Alpine metro and revolving restaurant. You can get right up close to the glacier on a guided hike, hurtle down no fewer than 150 km of slopes or enjoy a winter Via Ferrata.

Try the highest zip line operated by Nendaz/Veysonnaz in the heart of the 4 Vallées. This 1,400 m cable begins at the iconic Mont-Fort at an altitude of 3,330 m. There are also 400 km of slopes and over 100 km of winter footpaths affording views of the surrounding peaks.

Visit nearby Thyon, another 4 Vallées resort whose varied slopes offer beginners and experienced skiers alike a superb panorama. It’s the ideal place to learn the joys of skiing under the guidance of a ski instructor, while for more experienced skiers and powder lovers, the resort also offers freeride with a mountain guide.

Region Dents du Midi ski area, “Portes du Soleil”, is the largest cross-border ski area, with 600 km of slopes stretching across Switzerland and France. Comprising six villages with ski-in/ski-out hotels, the region offers a wide range of activities in addition to downhill skiing.
