According to New York’s Newsweek magazine, Switzerland has been voted second best country in the world. The nation of cheese, chocolate and charming timeliness has only been surpassed by Finland, which Newsweek felt, has earned the “gold medal” in this contest.

In a time consuming market research, Newsweek has set out to answer one specific question: if you were born today, which country would provide you the very best opportunity to live a healthy, safe, reasonably prosperous, and upwardly mobile life?

Measured by Education, Health, Quality of Life, Economic Dynamism and Political Environment, Switzerland achieved top scores earning a rank among the top ten in almost all categories.
