Judging by recent arrival and overnight statistics, Canadian travellers are crazy about Switzerland. After anew record last year, with the best overnight results in 25 years, the growth continues. The number of nights Canadians spent in Swiss hotels in the summer season of 2018 – from May through September – shows an increase of 10,3% compared to the same time frame in 2017.

“Canadians are savvy travellers who look for meaningful experiences. These numbers prove that Canadians find them in Switzerland,” says Pascal Prinz, Director Canada of Switzerland Tourism. “Many untouched hidden gems in our four-language regions are waiting to be discovered.”

Thanks to even more direct flights on SWISS and Air Canada out of Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary next year, Switzerland is even more accessible and is also a great hub for every trip to Europe.

Due to charming resorts, new hotels and premium experiences, this positive trend is expected to continue this upcoming winter. Many excellent offers are launched under the “Upgrade your Winter” campaign.
