More than 3,000 candidates from the U.S. and Canada applied for this chance to be the host of a travel TV show in Switzerland. 35,000 voted on their favorite of the ten finalists. And the winners are… Travis and Heather Sherry. In June, they will embark on a 10-day journey together with a TV production team to shoot along the “Grand Tour of Switzerland”.

“Lights! Camera! Switzerland.” is an unmatched opportunity to jump-start a career as a TV travel star, and earn U$10,000 for hosting the show. The deadline for the applications was March 9.

More than 3000 candidates from the U.S. and Canada applied for this chance to be the host of a TV travel show in Switzerland. An expert panel selected ten finalists (nine from the U.S., one from Canada) – based on creativity, originality and above all, on-camera presence. Within a month, over 20,000 visitors to the website voted for their favorite video. With 33% of all votes, Travis and Heather Sherry, founders of Extra Pack of Peanuts and hosts of the EPoP Travel Podcast, received the most and won the competition. “The feedback for this competition exceeded our expectations by far”, says Alex Herrmann, Director Americas, Switzerland Tourism.

In June, Travis and Heather will travel to Switzerland, which happens to be the place where they first got bitten by the travel bug. After floating in Lake Geneva and waking up in Gimmelwald, they were hooked. This time they travel together with our production team Kinson Entertainment and embark on a 10-day journey to shoot some highlights along the “Grand Tour of Switzerland”, including Bern, Lucerne, St. Moritz, and the most scenic trains of the Swiss Travel System.
